Full Circle New Year

This incredible idea is from the fabulous Norma at From My Craft Room!  She is a fabulous crafter with some awesome ideas so check out her site for some great inspiration.

This is a circle easel card with a hidden panel in the bottom.  Norma's instructions are easy to follow so don't be afraid to give this a try. I am entering this one in TOMIC (The Official Magnolia Ink Challenge) and in the Color Me Creative Classroom and also in the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge.

The TOMIC Challenge this week is New Years and the 7 Kids College Fund is New Year Hopes and Dreams.  Color Me Creative is gold/cream and white.  The Color Me Creative site has some really cool pictures up for inspiration so again, check them out.

Tilda was colored with E51, 50, 000 for her dress; E33, 35, 53, 51, 50 for her hair and I also added some Prismacolor Pencil in Goldenrod; E21, 00, 000, 000 for her skin and her star was Smooch in Gold Lame.  I think the star stick was E33, 35 and 31.

The flowers were sponged with Brilliance Ink in Galaxy Gold.  All of the circles are Spellbinders dies.

The Happy New Year phrase was done with Distress Inks and Perfect Pearls and the inside phrases are embossed with gold embossing powder.

One more of the secret hidden panel in the base.  I just love the idea of "secret compartments" in a card!!

I would love to hear what you think of this one and once again, wish me luck on the challenges.

Wonder

Here's a new card for the winter and holiday season.  I used Frosty with Snowflake from the Magnolia Ink collection and colored with Copics.  I thought coloring the snowman would be easy but believe it or not, coloring "white" is a challenge!

I used the following Copic colors:

C1; B00, B0000 and then C0 for the snowman
BV00, 01, 11, 13 for the hat and scarf
C1, 3 for his nose and buttons
RV00 on his cheeks

I also used Flower Soft in Polar White for the hat band and pompom
Illuminate Smooch was painted on the snowflake
Liquid Applique was used for the ground snow

I punched out many snowflakes using two different Martha Stewart punches and stuck them all over the left hand side.  The "Wonder" phrase is taken from a Penny Black stamp and embossed with blue powder.

I am entering this one into three different challenges:

Just Magnolia - White, snow/snowflakes or both is the category
Mad for Markers - Christmas
One Crazy Stamper - Christmas/Holiday

It's been quite awhile since I entered any challenges so once again, wish me luck on these.

If you would like any other details just let me know and I will try to help.

Ornaments

Here is one more from the Peddlers Pack stamps that I have created.  Most of the colors are from JennieB's stamping site and the info on her classes.  I have "borrowed" her color combinations.  Copics were used for the coloring, of course.

Blue ornaments - B21, 24, 26
Red ornaments - R22, 24, 27
Green pine needles - G20, 82, 85 and Y11
Yellow ornaments - Y32, 35, 38
Background - B000
I colored the garland with R27 and the applied red Stickles.

Here is one pic of the inside.

I used the Spellbinders die in Labels One and three different sizes to get the layering effect.  The phrase stamp is one from Penny Black.  If there anything other you would like to know just holler and I will try to answer.

Yes, Virginia there is a Santa!

This Santa idea came from Scrap & Bean again and it is beautiful.  Once again it is a Peddlers Pack stamp and if Kathy at Scrap & Bean doesn't have in stock, I am sure that she will try to get one for you.

He was colored in Copics (of course) and they are;
Reds - R35, 37; RV29 and E19
Skin - E000, 00, 11, 21
Beard, hair and eyebrows - W0, W1, W3
Eyes - B00 and a tiny bit of Y000 with the blender in the corner of his eyes
I used a fine glue pen and then sprinkled Glitter Ritz in Sahara on his glass frames.
I also added a layer of Glossy Accents to the actual lens of his glasses.
I used the Flower Soft in Polar White on the brim of his hat.

This isn't easy to see but if you click on the photo it will zoom in for you.  The "Yes Virginia" stamp is from the Penny Black line and I simply stamped and embossed.

I kept this whole card quite simple as I wanted to showcase the actual Santa image.

As always, I would love to hear your comments and questions.

Christmas Sleigh

This is another beautiful stamp image from Peddlers Pack.  I know that Scrap & Bean had some so give her a call and if she doesn't have one in stock, she will definitely try to get one for you.

I have colored everything with Copics but I didn't write down all of the ones I used.  I do have a partial list for you though.

Sky - BG000
Sleigh runner and sleigh edges - E30, 33, 35, 37
Seat and back - YR12, 15, 16
Reds - R35, 37; RV29; E19
Anything else is missing from the list.  I forgot to write them down!  Thought I was getting better at that!  LOL!

Here is one quick pic of the inside.

The Believe was a Stampendous stamp and I simply stamped and then embossed with gold embossing powder.

I would love to hear what you think of this one.

Snow Arrives

As it has now snowed here in Edmonton, it is appropriate that a "flake" card is shown!  This idea was one that I saw at the wonderful Scrap and Bean store.  They are located at the north west end of the city and the owner Kathy Hanson and her staff are absolutely fabulous.  They have many classes and a fantastic selection of stamps from lots of different companies.  The also carry the whole shebang of Copic supplies.  Check out their web site or give her call.  Kathy is super about finding product or supplies that you are looking for.

On with the card!  The stamp is from Peddlers Pack; I used glossy cardstock and colored with Copics.
B05 for the largest flake
B02, 04, 12 for the other flakes
Glossy Accents was applied to the largest flake
Scribbled Crystal Stickles on the background

I apologize for my hand holding the card but with all the gloss and shimmer my camera was rebelling.  I held the card at an angle and got it to work but there still some spots that are glaring.

I have one to show of the inside.

I don't like the snow and the cold but I do think that snowflakes are a miracle in themselves.  I thought the stamp was appropriate.  Unfortunately, I bought this many years ago and it was from PSX and they are no longer around.  Too bad as I loved their stamps.

If you would like to know anything else let me know and I will try to help.  I would love to know what you think of this one.

Snowy Glitter

Hi!  I have a new card and post to show you.  This is little Tilda with lantern from awhile ago and she is colored with Copics.

Colors I used:
Coat, hat and leggings - BG11, 72, 75
Socks - BG0000, 000, 01 then I went over with C1, C3
Boots - C1, 3, 5, 7
Light in lantern - Y 15, 13, 11
Hair - E35; YR23, Y23
Skin - E50, 000, 21 and R30
Wood frame of lantern - I didn't write these down for some reason but I think they were E31, 33, 35

I went over the fur parts with liquid applique and as it didn't puffy up very much I went over those areas with Stickles.

Papers are from My Minds Eye, the white piece was embossed with the snowflake Cuttlebug folder, the shimmer swirl is a Tim Holtz die cut and then covered with the Glitter Ritz in Ice Blue, the flowers and lace are from my stash and the little branches are a Martha Stewart punch.

I am entering this one in the challenge at Just Magnolia which is Anything Goes with the option of lace and pearls.

If you would like to know any other details send an email and I will try to help.  I hope this inspires you.

Halloween Lanterns!

Okay, so it's supposed to be "Halloween Apples" but this one is a lantern!  I got this pattern from a wonderful web site that is called "From My Craft Room".  Norma has some really fabulous ideas so check out her blog.

The coloring is in Copics!  The red combo came from a video by Zoe McGrath on "Make It Colourful".  I am really happy with how these red markers blend together.  Check out Zoe's site and be prepared to be amazed.  Her work is outstanding.

The list of colors:
Reds - R35, 37; RV29; E19
Greys - on Tilda they were C00, 1, 3, 5
          - on Edwin I used C7, 5, 3 for the cape edge, C0, 3, 5 for his pants, C3, 5, 7 for his shoes and that stick that he is holding is C1, 3, 5
Hair on both of them is E59, 39, 25, 53
Skin on both is E50, 000, 21 and R30

As always, I would love to hear your comments and if you would like any other details just let me know.  Trick or Treat??!!

Oops, I goofed!

Hi everybody!  I worked on the little Tilda Witch and Pumpkin and posted it and later I was showing to my wonderful guy and I realized I really goofed.  If you look closely you will see that the sleeve on the right is colored as if it is her arm!  So little Witch Tilda has one sleeve on one side and she is sleeveless on the other side.  Sigh!!  I am going to try to fix it but I can't believe it didn't notice in all of that time that I was working on it.  Entered in 4 different challenges also.  Good grief!!

Birthday Rainbows

Hi everyone!  I have a new post.  Woo hoo!  I have made this one up for my very best friend and I know that she won't see this before she gets it!!

There are a lot of details so may be a long post but I want to get everything down that was done to make it.  First of all the front images are from Magnolia Ink and I used the Tilda with ponytail and the log thingy!  It was colored with Copics and they are:

Shirt - G21, 24, 28
Lace and socks - C1, 3, 5 and then on the socks I went over with B32 and B34
Jeans - B32, 34, 37
Log - E57, 33, 31
Hair - E59, 39, 25, 53
Skin - E50, 000, 21 and RV10 for the blush
Shoes - C00, 1, 3, 5

I don't know what company the background paper is but I made my own for the phrase piece using the Clearsnap Fluid Chalk Inks in Sour Apple and Ocean.

The glitter swirl was Superstock 130 lb paper from Canadian Scrapbooker and then I covered with the Scor Pal tape.  Ran it through the Cuttlebug and used the Tim Holtz die cut.  Peel off the liner paper and covered with the Glitter Ritz in Canadian Blue.

Flowers are from Magnolia.

Here is a close up of the coloring on the Tilda stamp.

A quick close up of the phrase and then one of the inside.  If you would like any other details on how this was done, just let me know.

This one is being entered in the challenge at Magnolia-licious where the challenge is to use blue, green and white or clear. Wish me luck on this one!!

Golf is the Game

Here is a cool little golfing Tilda and with the golf season wrapping here in Edmonton I thought she would be fun to color.

Here is the list of the Copics that I used on this one:
Pants - E40, 41, 42, 43
Shirt - R81, 83, 85
Club - C5, 3, 1, 0
Hair - YR21, 24, 31
Skin - E50, 000, 21

The dot background was a white piece of paper and I ran it through the Cuttlebug using the dot embossing folder.  Pearls were colored with a Copic marker and the phrase was stamped with watermark ink, embossed with green powder and then I colored around and over the letters with the Clearsnap Chalk Ink in Olive Pastel and Amber Clay (I think)!

One more picture of the golf green on the inside.

I colored the golf green with:

YG03, 23, 25, 63
E40 42
Y15, 17

The little mat behind the green I made by just tracing around it and cutting slightly larger.

I haven't put any phrases on the inside as I am not sure who am going to give this one to.

As always, I would love to hear what you think of this.  Love to read your comments and I really do want to know what you think.

Scarecrow Thanksgiving

Here is another Magnolia creation using the Scarecrow Tilda.

I tried to get the pleats and folds colored but they didn't come out the way that I had hoped.  Sigh!!  The angled strip at the top is a Tim Holtz die and I applied the Glitter Ritz to the piece.  The phrase was an old Stampin Up one that I had. I colored little Tilda with Copics and they are:

E31, 33, 35
YG61, 63, 67, 11
E50, 000, 21, 37, 39, 35
Y11

Let me know what you think of this one and if you want any more details just let me know.

Outer Space

Hi there!  I really need to do this on a regular basis!  Here are some new creations.

The first one is little Astro Tilda along with the space ship and moon.  I also used the phrase "Fly Me to the Moon".  All of the stamps are from Magnolia.

I have really used a lot of different Copics in this creation.  Here is the list:
Astro Tilda
YR04, 14, 16, 18
C00, 1, 3, 5, 7
E000, 21, 29, 50, 53, 55, 57
BG0000

Space ship
Y00, 11, 17
YR04, 12, 18
B21, 24, 26
C2, 4, 6

On the moon I used the W's but I don't have the list of the exact colors.

Here is a close up shot of Tilda.

I would love to hear what you think of this one and if there are any other details that you would like just let me know.

Friends Page

Here is one that I have wanted to do for quite some time and finally got it done!  Great friends on a fabulous page with techniques from the wonderful Cathie Allan.  The inks are all from Clearsnap and the whole page is shimmery with Tattered Angels Mist.  The little file folder opens up and I wrote the journalling inside.

I would love to hear what you think of this one and if you want any details just let me know.  Cheers to the girls in the pictures.  You guys are the best!!

Shopping Stair Step

Here is some of the coloring that I promised to show.  I have used a stair step card and I am not sure where the actual pattern came from although it was probably Norma at From My Craft Room; http://frommycraftroom.blogspot.com/.   She truly has amazing creations so check her out.

Bliss File Folder Album

A fabulous way to decorate an ordinary file folder.  There was a class at Treasured Memories and this project was created by Doreen.  I loved the class one so much that I came home and made another one.  Here is my version.
I have taken a lot of photos on this project so if you stay until the end looking at all the details I say thank you!  Each section has a insert for notes and then there are little folders for more notes or photos and there are also bookmarks.

The class version was created for a vacation theme.  Make one to keep all those little tickets and souvenirs you pick up and record your thoughts and feelings while enjoying your great travel adventures.  I created mine for my wonderful and definitely my better half, Arthur.  Although the pink thing isn't really him he still loves it.  Keep all those little notes that I leave around for you honey!

Even a picture of my thumb.  Go figure!  I would love to hear what you think of this one and if you want any details just let me know.

That was four posts one in day!!  I will post some of my Copic coloring projects soon so hope to see you back again.

The Door Journal

I did warn everyone that there would be a lot of posts coming up and here is another one that was created by Laurie at Treasured Memories.  I absolutely love this journal!!  I do love making these.  I made one last fall and fell in love with it and was excited to see another version created.  I want to make some more of these!

The cover and insides are shown and then there are several tabbed pages that are also decorated.  Here are a few of the pics.

There are 12 decorated pages all together and each one is incredible.  Ink and stamp and make pockets and tags and be in creative heaven!

Once again I would love to hear what you think of this one and if you want any details just let me know.

Portraits of the Past

Here is another amazing two page scrapbook page layout from the wonderful Kathleen Sundby.  Every time a new page comes out I am thrilled.  I always think that they are amazing but every month just gets better.

The pic shown above is the center seam and below are pics of each side.  Check out all of the little details that went into this one.  The rhinestone swirl, the little dress form and paper clip and all of the buttons.  The details are what make these so gorgeous.  Thank you Kathleen!
