Shopping Stair Step

Here is some of the coloring that I promised to show.  I have used a stair step card and I am not sure where the actual pattern came from although it was probably Norma at From My Craft Room; http://frommycraftroom.blogspot.com/.   She truly has amazing creations so check her out.

I am entering this one in three different challenges; The Official Magnolia Inspiration Challenge where the challenge is to make a dimensional card; http://officialmagnoliainspirationchallenge.blogspot.com/
Make It Crafty and the challenge there is to color pleats and folds; http://www.makeitcolourful.com/
and Mad For Markers where the challenge is to color with pink and yellow; http://www.madformarkerschallenges.blogspot.com/

I used an incredible number of markers on this project!  Here they all are:
Tilda:  R81, 83, 85; B60, 63, 66; E25, 31, 33; Y11, 13, 17, 23; YG01, 03, 05, 07; W0, 3, 5; E31, 35, 50, 000, 21; YR23; BV13, 23

Bliss File Folder Album

A fabulous way to decorate an ordinary file folder.  There was a class at Treasured Memories and this project was created by Doreen.  I loved the class one so much that I came home and made another one.  Here is my version.
I have taken a lot of photos on this project so if you stay until the end looking at all the details I say thank you!  Each section has a insert for notes and then there are little folders for more notes or photos and there are also bookmarks.

The class version was created for a vacation theme.  Make one to keep all those little tickets and souvenirs you pick up and record your thoughts and feelings while enjoying your great travel adventures.  I created mine for my wonderful and definitely my better half, Arthur.  Although the pink thing isn't really him he still loves it.  Keep all those little notes that I leave around for you honey!

Even a picture of my thumb.  Go figure!  I would love to hear what you think of this one and if you want any details just let me know.

That was four posts one in day!!  I will post some of my Copic coloring projects soon so hope to see you back again.

The Door Journal

I did warn everyone that there would be a lot of posts coming up and here is another one that was created by Laurie at Treasured Memories.  I absolutely love this journal!!  I do love making these.  I made one last fall and fell in love with it and was excited to see another version created.  I want to make some more of these!

The cover and insides are shown and then there are several tabbed pages that are also decorated.  Here are a few of the pics.

There are 12 decorated pages all together and each one is incredible.  Ink and stamp and make pockets and tags and be in creative heaven!

Once again I would love to hear what you think of this one and if you want any details just let me know.

Portraits of the Past

Here is another amazing two page scrapbook page layout from the wonderful Kathleen Sundby.  Every time a new page comes out I am thrilled.  I always think that they are amazing but every month just gets better.

The pic shown above is the center seam and below are pics of each side.  Check out all of the little details that went into this one.  The rhinestone swirl, the little dress form and paper clip and all of the buttons.  The details are what make these so gorgeous.  Thank you Kathleen!

Altered Suitcase

The suitcase!  I just love how this one came out.  All of the details and little bits and bobs that were made to go inside this are just stunning.  Once again, I just love all of the nostalgia in this.  Picture an old fashioned cruise ship and writing with an old fountain pen and then receiving postcards from all around the world!

This one was designed by the very talented Kathleen Sundby at Treasured Memories.  I do mention them quite often don't I!! Here are some close up shots of the bits and bobs that fit inside.

Here is a close up of the inside back cover.  Tiny and I do mean tiny, postcards, pen nibs, ink bottles and even a tiny feather.

Here is one of the outside of the entire suitcase.
I would love to hear what you think of this one!!  If you want any details just let me know.

Tim Holtz Tin

Here is the amazing Tim Holtz tin that was designed by Kim Nolan and offered at Treasured Memories in Edmonton.  The tin was just covered with some of the Holtz papers and then a tiny little accordian book to fit inside the tin.

This wasn't a difficult project but all those little papers, pockets and tags took some time to put together.  I just love the nostalgia.

One more photo of the other side of the little folder.

Intermediate Copic Certified!

You will see the new "Copic Intermediate Logo" on the sidebar of my blog.  I did it!  This one blew me away.  There is just so much information and it will take lots and lots of practice to get those shadows "just" right.  Thank you Sherrie for a wonderful day and all the info.  It is still swimming in my head 2 weeks later!!  I will master that "lilac plant"!

Will have some new creations going up soon so watch for them.  Altered suticase, altered file folder, journals, tins and hopefully some coloring soon.

During the class I was thinking that I liked the way I colored faces and hair but as I had paid to be there and I will always try something new, I have now found some "new" favorites for the faces for sure.  So many different combination that are available to work with.  Nothing compares with the selection that the Copics offer.

Reds are another one that I will "master"!  Think roses and Santa and Christmas coloring.  Hopefully have some "red" cards or creations up in the next little while.

Watch for a new entry on the Vintage Scrapbook Series.  Kathleen Sundby at Treasured Memories is truly so inspirational.  Every month I think it is the best and then she comes out with another one that I think is better.

I am so happy to have my 5 followers.  Post comments when you like something but I would also like feedback on the things that you don't like.  How in the world do people get thousands of followers?  Maybe one day.
