Shimmer and Shine

I decided to do something different for this one.  I went back to some of the ideas that Cathie Allan taught.  This one comes from Scrap and Stamp magazine back in July 2009.  I really like how this came out.

Stamp smoosh the background with chalk inks, smear Smooch inks all over, mask, stamp and emboss and then paint again with Smooch inks.

I just used cut off pieces from the front to use on the inside and stamped and embossed the phrase.

I would love to hear comments on this one and if anyone has any questions please ask.

Treat Box

Hi!  I am back with a new creation.  This is a really cool box/card.  You could put all kinds of little items in the box section.  I used Copic markers and Magnolia stamps.

Just click on the image for a close up.  The colors I used:
Dress:  G20, 21, 24; YG03, 11, 63 and Crystal Stickles; also used YR21, 23, 24
Socks:  E40, 41,42
Shoes:  E50, 51, 53, 43
Flower and some of the butterflies:  R81, 83, 85
Leaves:  G21, 24
Butterfly on her arm:  R32, Y13, YR16
I also used the Nestability lace circle, ribbon from stash and Tim Holtz scroll with Glitter Ritz.  The large flower in the bottom corner was sprayed with Clearsnap Spritz Ink.

The inside butterfly is also a Magnolia stamp and was so much fun to color.  I used lots of the different Copic color families and I wanted it bright!  I think I got BRIGHT!
I used:  R81, 83, 85; YG00, 01, 03; BG11, 13, 15; Y13, 15, 17; B04, 05, 06, 24; RV21, 23, 25
The phrase was just stamped and embossed with powder and the scroll at the top is Tim Holtz die cut and glittered.

Here is a close up of the bright butterfly.

I hope you like this creation and if you have any questions I will be glad to help.  I would love to hear comments on this one.

Second Big Brother

Not only does Arthur get 3 older brothers but two have birthdays on the same day!  This is for George and he is 50!  You rock buddy!  I hope you like this one.  I had a hard time deciding what would be appropriate but Arthur assures me that this one is good.

Of course I didn't have the right patterned paper so I just made my own using 3 different colors of chalk ink.  The image was stamped and colored with chalks and then sprayed with a sealer.  I haven't done chalk coloring for a very long time but I am quite happy with this one.

Here's a close up of the chalk coloring on the front.

The inside was also made using the same chalk inks as the background patterned paper for the front.

The journalling lines are stamped behind the pull out tag with chalk ink again and the same was done on the tag using the phrase stamps.

The back of the tag.
I would love to hear any comments on this creation and if anyone wants more info just let me know.

Easter

My Easter creation is from a tutorial on Stempeleinmaleins's blog site.  Love that word!  I am not sure where they are located but check out that blog as they have a fabulous number of projects to make.

I am going to enter this one into four different challenges.
Copic Oz
Let's Ink It Up
Magnolia-licious
7 Kids College Fund Challenge

The Bunny Tilda is colored with Copics and the colors are:

R 00, 20, 81, 83; E 40, 41, 42; BV 000, 00, 02, 04; E 000, 00, 01

I used paper doilies and inked with Distress Ink in Dusty Concord and then sprayed them with Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist in Hanuted Shadow and Gold Irridescent.

Tilda and bunny is colored with Copics in:  BV 000, 00, 02, 04; B 91, 93, 95 for her shirt, hat band and pants.  I used E 35, YR 23 and Y 23 for her hair.  The hat is E 41, 42, 43.  The bunny is E 31, 33, 35 and R20.

The tulips were from an online tutorial on crafticious.blogspot.com.

The two phrases on the ends of the basket are from Stampin' Up and I just inked with Watermark Ink and embossed with gold powder.

In the first photo you can see the "grass" poking out.  I read this one somewhere and I am sorry that I don't remember where to give credit.  You take scraps of cardstock and run them through your paper corrugator and then put them through the paper shredder.  It is really fast and easy to get lots of "grass" pieces.

I am going to fill this one with little Easter treats and give to my Mom.

I hope you like this one and with me luck on the challenges.

Big Brother

Hi again!  Second posting is for my "adopted' big brother.  Arthur had to be lucky enough to get 3 older brothers and one younger brother so I just "borrow" them when I want a brother.  I am an only child and always wanted an older brother!

The stamps are digital images from Make It Crafty.  They have some awesome images so check them out.  This image is colored the same way that Zoe did hers on Make It Colourful which is a blog for Make It Crafty.  Check her out as her work is absolutely amazing.

Big Brother Claude is a big teddy bear biker guy and this image just had to be for him!

All of the colors are Copics and the list is on Make It Crafty.  The inside papers are from stash and I made another pocket for the tag which I stamped with birthday phrase.  The right side is Nestability dies and I just stamped the lines for the journalling.

This card ended up being quite large but I like how it turned out.  If you want any other info let me know.

My Favorite Bear

Again, it has been awhile since I added anything but there will be lots going up in the next few days.  First of all I won on one of the stops on the Belles N' Whistles Blog Hop.  Thank you to Vicki Parson!  I have chosen the "Storytime" stamp.  Check out the new Belles N' Whistles collection as they really have some great images.

My post is the Mr.Fix It Bear from Stampavie.  My better half and I have a thing about bears (a long story)!!  Arthur can really fix anything and I am so lucky to have him and his talented know-how.  This one's for you Mr. Bear!

He is colored with Copics and I really like how the colors came together with the papers.  I know I should chose the papers first but I usually just end up sitting down and coloring and then try to find something that matches.

The Copics are:
Pants - B 97, 95, 93, 91
Shirt - YG 97, 95, 93, 91
Fur - E 31, 33, 35
Toolbox and wood board - E 31, 35, 29
Drill and some tools - C 1, 3, 5, 7

Papers are from the stash and I just added four square brads in the corners.  The inside is just a couple of layered papers and a tag for journalling.

Here is a close up of the coloring.

If you would like any other info just let me know and I would love to hear what anyone thinks of this one.
