Dotty Tent Card!

Okay, this baby is going into the challenge at "Just Magnolia".  Check out their blog and challenges at http://www.justmagnolia.blogspot.com/.  This is also going to a very special "little" girl for her 18th birthday!  Okay, she isn't that little.  I hope you like this one.

I used Copics for coloring Tilda and they are:  B97, 95, 93, 91, 32; E000, 00, 11, 30; R20.  The flowers are from Magnolia, the pearls are Kaiser Craft,  the leaves were punched with Martha Stewart punches, string pearls and ribbon are from the stash and papers are Karen Foster.

Would love the hear what you think of this one.

A side view - I think most people add a circle cut out on the back layer but I thought it looked better without.

The little piece that you can see sticking out is the phrase and journaling panel that I attached to the back.  I added the patterned paper that was left over and stamped the phrase and made a little card that flips up and wrote my wishes on the inside and tucked into the scalloped bottom edge.

Entered at "Let's Ink It Up"

Woo Hoo!  I am now entered in my second ever challenge!  Huge thank you to Suzanne at "Let's Ink It Up".  She is the best!   Check out her blog, challenges and great inspiration at http://www.letsinkitup.blogspot.com/.

I can't thank Suzanne enough for all her help, encouragement and inspiration.  I am so very glad that I found you and your site!

Let's Ink It Up!

I saw this table top drawer at Debbie P's Place and I thought I would give it a try.  I am going to try to enter this at "Let's Ink It Up" for the current challenge of "Anything Goes".  All of the stamps are from Magnolia and I colored them with Copics.  I used R85, 83, 81, 00, 20; C00, 3, 1; Y17, 15, 13, 11; E00, 000, 11, 25, 29, 35, 40, 41, 42, 43.

Now for a couple of close up photos.

Mowgli!

I was reorganizing the craft room and work area and Mowgli was still lying around after about 10 Years!  Time to bring him and the baby elephant to life.  I was surprised how much I remembered about doing the paper tole but I had forgotten how messy I get.  Silicone glue all over me and everything else!  Mowgli is now up and running with the elephant!  Now "forget about your worries and your strife".

Mini Books

I was surfing for stamping info and I found the very incredible Suzanne Kleczar's web site at http://www.justlovestamping.blogspot.com/.  She had posted some mini books that she made and they are absolutely gorgeous.  Check out her site for great ideas and inspiration.

I made this one for my "better half" (Art) early in 2010 and because it turned out quite well I thought I should post it.  There are 8 page altogether with the left side of the pages being done with phrases and quotes and the right side being pictures of us and all the adventures we have had together.

It would take a very long time to list everything that went into this one but if anyone wants any details just let me know.  I would love to hear what anyone thinks of this.

Hearts and Glitz

I wanted to make something with just stamping and embossing and glitz and this is what I came up with.

The interior to continue the flavour of the front!

I will provide the details if anyone wants to know all of the toys that I used.  I hope you like this one

Explosion Box

This is a pretty cool project.  I saw this on Happy Thoughts and Ink Spots so I thought I would give it a try.  Pics were kind of hard to take but it looks fairly decent.

 And the inside.

And an overhead shot.

Mine is quite different on the inside but thank you Jeanette Comerford for the idea and the Copic coloring tutorial.

Forever Love

I adore this stamp and I think it is because he is just so thoroughly kissing her!  It looks like he just grabbed her but it also looks like she loves it as her toes are curling.  Every kiss should feel like the first one!

I colored the love scene with Copics and then as I  began to create the card I ran out of pink paper.  Another lesson, check how much you will need before you start making your project.

I have to thank the incredible, wonderful Cathie Allan for teaching us how to make our own patterned or colored papers.  The piece that is lightly stamped on the front was a piece of white paper and I colored it with ColorBox Fluid Chalk ink in pink pastel.  The border on the inside left and the tag in the interior pocket was also colored the same way.  I lightly inked the border of the phrase piece also with the pink pastel ink.

Thank you Cathie Allan for all you taught us.  Miss that store and you so very much!

The pocket was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch and the hearts are Spellbinders.  The flowers on the front are from Magnolia and stash, the tag was a Tim Holtz border die, the stamp is from Hampton Arts and the ribbon is Fabricland.

I hope you like this one and I wish everyone the kisses that make you feel wonderfully desired!

I took those photos again as I wanted to try to get them whiter.  They look much better now.

Get the blue out!

Here is the pic of the interior of the card.

Sweet Dreams

"Sweet Dream are made of this...".  Okay, does anyone remember the "Eurythmics"?  This little stamp from Stampavie is just so adorable and cute.  I colored her with Copics.  The colors used are:  BG01, 000, 0000;
Y13, 11, 17; B23,21; C03, 01; E25, 33, 000, 00, 11; R20.  I painted the moon and stars with Mica Watercolor Paints from US ArtQuest.  I just love those paints for the shimmer!  The card base is 130 lb paper that I purchase from Canadian Scrapbooker; the image base is Copic Xpress It paper, the blue is from Bazzill and the patterned paper is from K and C and the ribbon is from Fabricland.  The inside phrase is from Hampton Arts and I embossed with gold powder.

I would love to hear what anyone thinks of this one.

My dream right now would be a free trip to Barbados with my Copics.  Give me a beach, sunshine, and  a drink in my hand and a stamping magazine in the other hand with the bathing suit on, pre-stamped images and I will color forever!!  Anyone else ready to ditch the cold?  Stay warm and I will hopefully have some other creations up soon.
