Quarter Note Clutch

This one was also made in the summer time and I never posted it.  It is the Quarter Note Clutch by Emmaline Bags and it is really simple to put together.  As the name says, it is made with a couple of fat quarters.  I like the fabrics that I chose!

Necessary Clutch Wallet

This wallet is a pattern by Emmaline Bags.  I love how this came together.  It is fairly straight forward if you pay attention and do the steps in order.  There is an entire Facebook group just on this pattern!!  :-)

Everyday Memories

This box project was another design from Treasured Memories in Edmonton.  This one was designed by the very talented and creative Chantel.  I saw this one in the store and if you know me then you know that if it is a book or a box I just have to make it!  LOL!  This is so beautiful in the simplicity and elegance of the creation.  That is a watch in the top corner of the box!!

The binder rings that you can see on the right side are pages to put photos on the back side.  I have taken two pictures of the pages.  There are several different pages though.

Travel Mini Album

I made this travel mini a month or so ago and just never posted the project.  This one was also created by Nadine at Treasured Memories in Edmonton.  It was sitting in the very tall project pile and I decided to tackle it.  I love how this was designed and I love how it turned out.  The first page is a plastic sheet so that is why you can see the other stuff behind it.  There are lots of pockets and envelopes for those special trip mementos.  I will be trying another version some day, hopefully soon!

Christmas Daily

I haven't posted any projects for a long time but I have a couple for you now.  There are a lot of photos.  Just warning!  :-)
The first project is last year's Christmas Daily.  These projects are created by the very talented Nadine at Treasured Memories in Edmonton.  I have made these for a few years now and they have become a tradition for me.  Anyways, the book was all "made".  The binder and all the pages.  There are more than 25 pages.  One for each day and some extra pages for keepsakes and photos.  I am only posting a few pages.

There are lots of pockets, photo sleeves, envelopes and glitter in this one.  The first picture is the cover.  I would love to hear what you think of this project and I would love to see your Christmas Daily ideas. 

Graphic 45 Couture Album

I found this project as an online class from Clare Charvill at the Graphic 45 blog site.  This one just had my name written all over it.  I am not going to post pics of all the pages as you can view at Clare's site.  This took me about two and half months to make but I adore how it came out.

There are dozens of little pockets and fold outs and places for tags. 

 

I will be making some more of Clare's online class projects.  She does a superb job of her tutorials!

Paper Train

I have made this gorgeous 3d Santa Express Train for a Christmas gift.  Yes for Christmas 2014.  I finished it in January of 2014!  It is a Silhouette cut file from SVG Cuts.  I am quite happy with the outcome of this one.  Only thing is that if you use liquid glue you have to let the pieces dry under something heavy or they will warp slightly.  The next project I will be using more of the Sookwang tape and only gluing the tiniest pieces. 

SVG Cuts has some really incredible files and they cut out beautifully.

Miniature Garden

This is definitely the blog that died!  I haven't been idle though.  The best part is that I have a new post for you.  Actually, I have three posts!  The first one is a miniature garden and I just love how it came out.  One of the local greenhouses had a flyer come out in December and I registered for the mini garden class five months ago.  I have been surfing blogs and miniature garden ideas since then.  Today was class day! 

 

The whole container is about 12 inches across and I have put six mini plants in.  There is a trellis at the back and the bird house, a tiny wheelbarrow and the tiny little pot of lillies. There is also a bird bath at the back under the bird house.  Can you find it?

I hope a little fairy or sprite will find the chair to settle in for a cup of tea or a good read! 

I would love to hear what you think of my first attempt at miniature gardens.  I think I'll make another one!  A couple more photos for you.

White Christmas Card

Okay it is snowing outside and I have another Christmas card for you.  I can't think of what else I should be doing in this miserable, snowy weather.  Another card inspired by Heartfelt Creations!

I don't think I have done an all white card before and it is kind of challenging.  I did use some gold embossing powder and gold ribbon.  I like how it all came together! 

As always, I love reading any comments or suggestions!

Photos look really blue but I can't retake the photos as this card is already sold.  It really was all white with just the gold embossing powder!!  LOL!

Angel Wings

I made these Christmas cards awhile ago and realized that I never posted them.  Here is one that was inspired by Heartfelt Creations.  Heartfelt Creations has some amazing products and a fabulous blog of ideas so check them out.

Over the Top

Hi!  I'm back with a card for you to see.  A co-worker asked me to make a birthday card that was "over the top".  It is interesting how life seems to happen!   About the time that she asked me I discovered a blog called http://jenniferds.blogspot.com.au/ and this fabulous crafter inspired me to try "over the top"!

I contacted Jennifer about using the Stampendous Frantage and she was very helpful.  I also asked if she minded me posting this as it is so similar to her "style" and she has told me to go ahead. 

I would love to hear what you think of this.  Warning!!  Photo heavy!!  Thank you so much for your help Jennifer!  I love how this came out and I hope that my co-worker and the recipient like it!

Christmas 2013 Number 1

Well.... I'm back!  I haven't had a project to post for so long!!  I have my first Christmas card of 2013 to share with you.

I was very fortunate to take a class with the beautiful and talented Emma Lou of Heartfelt Creations at Scrap and Bean.   Check out the Hearfelt web site and all of the ideas in the gallery and the videos.  There is a wealth of information there. 

Scrap and Bean is carrying tons of the Hearfelt products if you are looking for anything in the Edmonton area.

I used a lot of different products in this card which I will list at the end of the post.

 

 

 

Papers are - Bazzill for the red and the cream one, I'm not sure; the patterned paper on the front is My Mind's Eye.

 

Dies - Heartfelt Creations Ornamental Add On; Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornaments and Labels 4 and the tiny little one on the front by the phrase is Memory Box Precious Ornaments.

 

The glitter on the ornaments is from Glitter Ritz in Apple Red and Sahara.

 

Stamps are Stampin' Up; Impression Obsession for the phrase on the front and the vertical "Christmas" is from Art Impressions.

 

Inks are Clearsnap pigment ink in Merlot and Bronze and I used Ranger clear embossing powder.

 

The beads are from Mill Hill.

Hi everyone!  I haven't disappeared completely.  Summer is just so busy and the craft room gets kind of neglected.  Summer time in Edmonton is short and my better-half-guy and I golf whenever we can and try to enjoy the nice weather while it lasts.

I have done some Copic coloring and some craft classes throughout the past few months though just not any finished projects to show.

I have a list of stuff that I want to make and color so keep watching and check back.

Bookworm Dreams

I have a new card to show you.  I am a total bookworm!  I read every single day and I have hundreds of books.  This Saturated Canary image is just so endearing to me.  Love it!

Dew Drops Won!

Dew Drops

Hi!  I am back with a new creation for a friends birthday that is coming up.  I have used a Paper Shelter digital image and as my title says, the image is called "Dew Drops".  It has been a very long and very cold winter and this just made me wish for some springtime.  My friends birthday is April 30, so hopefully it will be feeling like spring by then.

I have Copics in the following colors:
Skin - E 11, 21, 00, 000
Hair - E 35: Y 23; YR 23
Leaves - YG 45, 17, 13, 11
Top and sock stripes - RV 21, 23, 25
Skirt and sock stripes were BV but I didn't write them down!!  OOPS!
The dew drops and wings - BG 11, 70 - they look almost white in the photos but they actually have green in them in real life
Background - BG 0000; B 0000, B 00
I also painted the wings with Smooch Glitz

The papers are Basic Grey, Bazzill and Tim Holtz; flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, lace was from stash; die cuts are Spellbinders and Marianne Designs; the interior phrases are from Stampin Up and they were heat embossed.

File Folder Album

I have finished a file folder mini album for a Christmas gift!  Yes, for Christmas 2013!  This was a class taught at Urban Scrapbook by a wonderful instructor, Nicole!  I really had a lot of fun making this project and although it was time consuming, I am really happy with how it turned out.

There are lots and lots of pockets and fold out sections for photos or tickets or journaling.

This is photo heavy here!

This was made using three file folders.  The papers are from Kaiser Craft - The Secret Admirer line; die cuts are from Tim Holtz and Spellbinders.  I inked the title panel with Colorbox pigment inks.

I am entering this one into the Fussy and Fancy challenge where the topic is "Spring Days"!  I think the colors and patterns look like spring!  Hope you think so too!
