Treat Box

Hi!  I am back with a new creation.  This is a really cool box/card.  You could put all kinds of little items in the box section.  I used Copic markers and Magnolia stamps.

Just click on the image for a close up.  The colors I used:
Dress:  G20, 21, 24; YG03, 11, 63 and Crystal Stickles; also used YR21, 23, 24
Socks:  E40, 41,42
Shoes:  E50, 51, 53, 43
Flower and some of the butterflies:  R81, 83, 85
Leaves:  G21, 24
Butterfly on her arm:  R32, Y13, YR16
I also used the Nestability lace circle, ribbon from stash and Tim Holtz scroll with Glitter Ritz.  The large flower in the bottom corner was sprayed with Clearsnap Spritz Ink.

The inside butterfly is also a Magnolia stamp and was so much fun to color.  I used lots of the different Copic color families and I wanted it bright!  I think I got BRIGHT!
I used:  R81, 83, 85; YG00, 01, 03; BG11, 13, 15; Y13, 15, 17; B04, 05, 06, 24; RV21, 23, 25
The phrase was just stamped and embossed with powder and the scroll at the top is Tim Holtz die cut and glittered.

Here is a close up of the bright butterfly.

I hope you like this creation and if you have any questions I will be glad to help.  I would love to hear comments on this one.

Easter

My Easter creation is from a tutorial on Stempeleinmaleins's blog site.  Love that word!  I am not sure where they are located but check out that blog as they have a fabulous number of projects to make.

I am going to enter this one into four different challenges.
Copic Oz
Let's Ink It Up
Magnolia-licious
7 Kids College Fund Challenge

The Bunny Tilda is colored with Copics and the colors are:

R 00, 20, 81, 83; E 40, 41, 42; BV 000, 00, 02, 04; E 000, 00, 01

I used paper doilies and inked with Distress Ink in Dusty Concord and then sprayed them with Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist in Hanuted Shadow and Gold Irridescent.

Tilda and bunny is colored with Copics in:  BV 000, 00, 02, 04; B 91, 93, 95 for her shirt, hat band and pants.  I used E 35, YR 23 and Y 23 for her hair.  The hat is E 41, 42, 43.  The bunny is E 31, 33, 35 and R20.

The tulips were from an online tutorial on crafticious.blogspot.com.

The two phrases on the ends of the basket are from Stampin' Up and I just inked with Watermark Ink and embossed with gold powder.

In the first photo you can see the "grass" poking out.  I read this one somewhere and I am sorry that I don't remember where to give credit.  You take scraps of cardstock and run them through your paper corrugator and then put them through the paper shredder.  It is really fast and easy to get lots of "grass" pieces.

I am going to fill this one with little Easter treats and give to my Mom.

I hope you like this one and with me luck on the challenges.

Big Brother

Hi again!  Second posting is for my "adopted' big brother.  Arthur had to be lucky enough to get 3 older brothers and one younger brother so I just "borrow" them when I want a brother.  I am an only child and always wanted an older brother!

The stamps are digital images from Make It Crafty.  They have some awesome images so check them out.  This image is colored the same way that Zoe did hers on Make It Colourful which is a blog for Make It Crafty.  Check her out as her work is absolutely amazing.

Big Brother Claude is a big teddy bear biker guy and this image just had to be for him!

All of the colors are Copics and the list is on Make It Crafty.  The inside papers are from stash and I made another pocket for the tag which I stamped with birthday phrase.  The right side is Nestability dies and I just stamped the lines for the journalling.

This card ended up being quite large but I like how it turned out.  If you want any other info let me know.

My Favorite Bear

Again, it has been awhile since I added anything but there will be lots going up in the next few days.  First of all I won on one of the stops on the Belles N' Whistles Blog Hop.  Thank you to Vicki Parson!  I have chosen the "Storytime" stamp.  Check out the new Belles N' Whistles collection as they really have some great images.

My post is the Mr.Fix It Bear from Stampavie.  My better half and I have a thing about bears (a long story)!!  Arthur can really fix anything and I am so lucky to have him and his talented know-how.  This one's for you Mr. Bear!

He is colored with Copics and I really like how the colors came together with the papers.  I know I should chose the papers first but I usually just end up sitting down and coloring and then try to find something that matches.

The Copics are:
Pants - B 97, 95, 93, 91
Shirt - YG 97, 95, 93, 91
Fur - E 31, 33, 35
Toolbox and wood board - E 31, 35, 29
Drill and some tools - C 1, 3, 5, 7

Papers are from the stash and I just added four square brads in the corners.  The inside is just a couple of layered papers and a tag for journalling.

Here is a close up of the coloring.

If you would like any other info just let me know and I would love to hear what anyone thinks of this one.

Share a drink with me!

Hi there!  Once again I can't believe that it has been so long since I put anything in the blog.  Crazy with stuff going on.  How does life go by so fast?

I am really excited to say that I am now Copic Certified!  I completed the course on Monday, March 14, 2011 with Sherrie Siemens.  She is awesome!  Watch for the blinkie on this page soon.

I made this card for my wonderful better half for his birthday.  You are the best honey!  I am really happy with how the coloring came out on this.  I also kept the card really simple.  Time and he isn't the flower and ribbon type!

Of course this was colored with Copics!
Hearts - RV 09, 13; R 29, 37
Her shirt and hair bow - R 85, 83, 81
His shirt - B 97, 95, 93
Her hair (I think) - E 18, 39, 99; YR 23
His hair (I think) - E 29, 25, 31

I did the background using BG 0000, 000; B 00, 04.  I love how this came out.

I would love to hear your comments and questions if you have any.

Eighty Six

I have a special card for my very beautiful 86 year old Mom!

I used Copics of course and colored her with BV's.  Unfortunately, I do not have the specific colors that I used.

This is the Cake Card idea from Stempelmaleins blog.  They have some absolutely incredible info on their site so check them out.

The interior with the "cake" and candles.

The little box on the left holds 6 candles and then you can place them in the holes in the top of the "cake".  These cannot be lit!  Never!  Still very cute card idea and what a perfect idea for 86!  You go Mom!!

Spring Is In The Air!

It doesn't feel much like spring here, actually it is COLD!!  Wishful thinking and spring birthdays inspired this card for another friend, Shelley Ryan!  I do hope that she likes this one.

I used the Neenah paper and I think I like the Xpress paper better but needed to try both.  The trellis is actually green but it looks really blue in pic.  Trellis is a Martha Stewart punch and the brown frame is from Heartfelt Creations.  The Copics I used are:  YR 23, 21, 20, 00, 02, 01 and blender; Y00, 02; YG 95, 93, 11; E 27, 33, 31, 000, 00, 01; R20.

Would love the hear what anyone thinks of this one.

Beach Babies!

Hi there!  I can't believe it has been 2 weeks since my last posting but well, busy creating and life!

I do have 2 projects to show today and both of them are gifts for very special friends.

The first one is to a special friend that I met through work and she is lucky enough to be going to Mexico!  I am so jealous.  Trying to convince her to bring home some sand, sea and sun!  I really hope she likes this card.  Have tons of fun Karyn!

Unfortunately, I colored this quite a long time ago and don't have the exact colors used but they were the wonderful Copics.

The second project for today is for my very best friend.  Forty plus years is serious!

I just wanted to make something special for her and I decided to make a four drawer card!  I really hope you like this one Alison!

Let's go shopping soon!

I used the Copics again and the colors I used are:  BV 000, 00, 02; B 91, 93, 95, 97; BG 0000, 000, 10, 11; RV 21, 23, 25, 10, 13; YR 21, 23, 24, 00, 01; E 000, 00, 11, and somehow missed writing down the hair colors but I think they were E 27, 25, 33!

A closer look at the coloring!

I hope you enjoy this one Alison and can find something to keep in those little drawers.

Hearts and Love Aplenty!

I just love Valentine's Day and all the romance that goes with it.  After Christmas it is my favorite special day.  I am entering this one in a few different challenges.

Totally Tilda - lots of hearts
Copic Oz - Love
7 Kids College Fund - I (heart) You
One Crazy Stamper - Pink

I used Copics for coloring and used:  RV 09, 10, 21, 23, 25, 69; C00, 1, 3, 5; E 000, 00, 11, 50, 53, 55.  The little hearts at the bottom left and right were just stamped with pigment ink and embossed with clear powder and then I cut them out.

The big black heart was cut out and I applied 3 layers of Black UTEE.  The three hearts in the top left corner are Spellbinders Nestabilities.  The one flower in the bottom right is Magnolia.

I also made the corners by cutting out with the Cuttlebug and embossing with silver powder.  The papers are Daisy d's and Coredinations.  The black background is the Coredinations paper and I ran that through the Cuttlebug with the Swirls embossing folder and then sanded to reveal the pink core.

One close up of Tilda!

On the inside I simply used the Martha Stewart punch called Trellis (I think) and stamped the phrase with pigment ink and embossed.

Wish me luck on the challenges!  I hope you like this one.

Dotty Tent Card!

Okay, this baby is going into the challenge at "Just Magnolia".  Check out their blog and challenges at http://www.justmagnolia.blogspot.com/.  This is also going to a very special "little" girl for her 18th birthday!  Okay, she isn't that little.  I hope you like this one.

I used Copics for coloring Tilda and they are:  B97, 95, 93, 91, 32; E000, 00, 11, 30; R20.  The flowers are from Magnolia, the pearls are Kaiser Craft,  the leaves were punched with Martha Stewart punches, string pearls and ribbon are from the stash and papers are Karen Foster.

Would love the hear what you think of this one.

A side view - I think most people add a circle cut out on the back layer but I thought it looked better without.

The little piece that you can see sticking out is the phrase and journaling panel that I attached to the back.  I added the patterned paper that was left over and stamped the phrase and made a little card that flips up and wrote my wishes on the inside and tucked into the scalloped bottom edge.
